Almere Centre

Tourist information office

At De Diagonaal 199 in Almere, you will find a VVV point where you can go for leaflets, bicycle rental and advice from one of the staff members who are very knowledgeable about the city. You can also book a tour of the city with a local guide here and choose from a wide range of local products such as Almere beer, Almere wine, Almere jams, honey, mustard and much more. Nice as a souvenir for those back home.

VVV service point

You will also find a VVV service point in Almere, but in the Almere Buiten district instead of the city centre. This one is in the library. There is an information screen with the activities on it and at the library desk you can get more info about the city, via a dedicated PC and leaflets at the desk.

Right in the centre of Lelystad, at walking distance from the bus and train station, are the City Offices. On the ground floor of the City Office, you will find the Stadshart Information Point. There are shelves with all kinds of leaflets about Flevoland in general and Lelystad in particular, and friendly staff at the counter are happy to help if you have a specific question. So drop by and make sure you don't miss a thing in Lelystad!

Next to a large and free car park on the former island of Urk is an inspiration office of Tourist Info Urk. As there is no official tourist office in the Noordoostpolder, two entrepreneurs have taken on that function. In the centre of Emmeloord you will find Hotel Restaurant Grandcafé 't Voorhuys, where the reception staff will be happy to give you advice about the area. You can also get the tourist map of the Noordoostpolder here, on which you will not only find a map of the municipality, but also all kinds of tips and suggestions for fun and interesting day trips in the area.

Hotel Van der Valk Emmeloord

Also at Hotel Van der Valk Emmeloord, the reception staff knows how to provide you with useful information on what to see and do in the area. And of course they will be happy to hand you a copy of the free tourist map of the Noordoostpolder. This hotel sits on the outskirts of Emmeloord, practically on the A6 motorway, and is therefore ideally accessible by car. A blue and white sign along the road shows you the way to this information point, where there is ample free parking.

Dronten

FlevoMeer Library has seven branches, spread throughout Flevoland. The branch in Dronten functions as a tourist information office as well as a library. So you can come here for expert advice on tourist locations and activities in the region, both in the form of leaflets and verbal tips and suggestions. You can come here between 09:00 and 17:00 on most days, and even until 20:30 on Thursdays and Fridays. If you need tourist information at the weekend, stop by on Saturdays between 10:00 and 17:00, as the library is closed on Sundays.

Visitor centres

Besides VVV information points, which you'll find mainly in the cities, there are also several visitor centres spread across Flevoland. These are information points at the entrances to our many nature reserves. These visitor centres are run by organisations such as Staatsbosbeheer and Het Flevo-landschap.
