You continue your route via the Trekvogelpad. If you want to get a nice view of the lakes and/or spot birds, a short walk to the Lepelaarhut is a must. On the south side of the Lepelaarplassen, you cycle past a number of beaches. So put on swimwear and go for a nice swim or sunbathe.
The last part of the route goes through a number of parks. You pass through Beatrixpark first. The park has a real promenade. Next, it is Den Uylpark's turn. Here stands the statue of our country's former prime minister. A visit to the city centre is easily possible. On a bicycle fifteen minutes from the Den Uylpark.
The Senior citizens' route gives a good picture of Almere. It is also fun to cycle the route together with children. There are many child-friendly spots along the way, such as playgrounds, a petting zoo and beaches. Incidentally, this route is also suitable for tricycles.
Coming by car? Then you can park in the car park Klein Brandt Sportpark, accessible via the Muziekdreef entrance in Almere.
