Silent Core Route - walking route through Horsterwold

This delightful hiking trail leads to and around a large natural lake presenting beautiful views of this vast area from all sides. The route takes you past the Tuurtoren tower and the bird hide where you have particularly impressive views. With a bit of luck you'll spot fallow deer, Konik horses, sea eagles or foxes. In the Stille Kern area you can abandon the beaten track and stroll through nature. Stille Kern means silent core, and when you listen closely you’ll quickly discover how it got its name.

Marking:
Cycle hub points 17, 73, then at P follow the footpath (Pionierspad).
South of Stille Vallei follow the yellow arrow back to P and then to cycle hub points 73, 17.
