The Waterwandelweg is a 3.6-kilometre walking and cycling route along the Lelystad coast. The route runs from Houtribsluizen near the bridge to Enkhuizen, along the coast near Batavialand, to Noordersluis near Gemaal Wortman. Along the route, there are information panels themed on water.
Water is inextricably linked to Flevoland. The Water Hiking Trail is an informative walking route along the coast of Lelystad on the theme of water in connection with local (cultural) historical facts. In total there are 16 panels with information about how we handle our water. About the operation of weirs, locks and pumping stations. The information boards consist of short texts and are illustrated with several photos or images. The texts are also translated into English and German.
