Welcome to leg 8 of the long-distance walk the Pioneer trail which takes you across Flevoland. This stage takes you from the Knarbos near Lelystad to the Wolderwijd near Zeewolde. On the way, you walk along the Horsterwold, the largest continuous deciduous forest in Western Europe.
You first walk through the Knarbos, a mixture of deciduous and coniferous trees and open spaces. This is followed by an open landscape towards Zeewolde, where you walk through the north side of the Horsterwold. In Zeewolde, enjoy the view over the Wolderwijd.
