See-through panels are corten steel frames with a transparent plate. On that plate, a drawing visualises an object/activity that is not (or no longer) visible in the landscape. Through the correct perspective of the drawing and the correct positioning of the frame, the drawing is as it were projected into the current landscape. In this way, a special event or a former structure that stood at a specific location can come back to life for a while. Via the vista panels, we make the special history and unique story of Northeast Polder more visible.

The See-through Panel Style Icon Nagele stands on the Havenweg, the southern access road to Nagele, just before the junction with the Domineesweg (N352), and tells the story of the construction of the village of Nagele, unique in both the Northeast Polder and the whole of the Netherlands in that it was designed entirely by the architects' collective “De 8” and “Opbouw”, and every building had and has a slab roof. Looking through the panel, one can see two architects in the foreground and the characteristic flat-roofed houses under construction in the background. Also to be seen is the tower that was used to film the construction from above and was subsequently demolished.
