Kettingplein, in the heart of Emmeloord, is where the weekly market takes place every Thursday until 2:30 p.m. Every week, you will find around 25 stalls offering a wide range of beautiful products.
There is a wide selection of fresh vegetables, fruit, fish, cheese, meat and all kinds of related items. The flowers sold here come fresh from the auction and the fish comes fresh from the fish market. Kettingplein and Lange Nering also have stalls selling non-food products, such as fashion, underwear, legwear, telephone accessories, haberdashery and small items.
Come early for the largest selection or late for the best deals. It is always lively on Kettingplein when the market is there. Listen to the market vendors promoting their wares, do your shopping and chat with the other market visitors.
