• Bicycle ferry Biddinghuizen-Nunspeet


    You can take a shortened route across the Veluwemeer with the bicycle ferry Biddinghuizen to Nunspeet (fkp 49-60). Along the way, you can enjoy the lovely views over the beautiful Veluwemeer. The cycle ferry sails daily from May to the end of September. The crossing takes approximately 20 minutes. Click here for the sailing times (in Dutch).

  • Artwork Fine People


    The Monument to Fine People is located at the exact geographical centre of the Netherlands. The sculpture pays homage to the “prima mens”. The artwork was designed and by Dominique Himmelbach de Vries and installed in 2014. More info about this artwork (in Dutch).

  • The islands Ral and Pierland


    There are a number of islands in Veluwemeer Lake. Some are nature islands but there are also some, including the islands of Ral and Pierland, where you can moor and stay overnight. The cycle ferry sails between some of the islands. More information about these islands (in Dutch)..

  • Nature reserves


    Behind the coastline are several forests and nature reserves including Kievitslanden, Harderbos, Bremerbergbos and the Spijkbos. These varied nature reserves are home to many species of birds, amphibians and mammals. Listen for the golden oriole and look out for tracks of the beaver.
