• Vink Fruit farm

Many fruit growers have been attracted to the region’s rich and fertile soil. The orchards splash colour on Noordoostpolder; the beautiful hues of the blossom in spring are irresistibly seductive. In September the abundant harvest of pears, apples and cherries are recognisable from afar. The Vink fruit farm offers these superb products direct from the land and during harvest time you can even pick your own apples and pears.

  • Oud Kraggenburg

Oud-Kraggenburg is a former peninsula in the Zuiderzee, with a lighthouse constructed on a mound. At the foot of the mound was a small inner harbour, also known as a port of refuge. Sailing ships and steamboats once sheltered here during stormy weather or at times of fog. The light house may now be wholly landlocked and private property; however, the sea still feels close at hand.

  • Voorsterbos

A visit to the Voorsterbos woods is a wonderful discovery-of-nature trip. You can stroll past pools, over bridges and ramble through deciduous and coniferous woodlands. Wander through a stunning landscape dotted with trees and meadows and the ‘Sporenpad’ path will guide you past Europe's first fungi paradise.

  • Pier+Horizon Land Art

Pier + Horizon was created by Paul de Korte, at the exact location where the new land (Noordoostpolder) meets the old land (Overijssel), in the Zwarte Meer lake. This is one of the now eight land artworks in Flevoland.
